Try Raisin Cookies
Ingredients:
- Butter
- Sugar
- Vanilla
- Salt
- Egg
- Flour
- Nuts
- Raisins
- Cinnamon
Procedure:
- Mix at low speed, cream 1/2 cup butter with 1/2 cup sugar until just blended. Increase speed to high and beat until light and fluffy, scraping bowl often with rubber spatula. Reduce speed to low and add 1 3/4 cups flour, 1/2 tsp vanilla, pinch of salt and one egg.
- Add water until it holds together.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge.
- While waiting, chop nuts.
- Chop raisins.
- Mix together raisins, nuts and cup of honey, orange peel, cinnamon and butter.
- Wrap with the cling wrapper and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Roll half of it out on wax paper. Spread half of the nuts, raisins, honey evenly and roll it up.
- Again, freezer for 30 minutes
- Oven to 350F
- Slice thinly.
This is really yummy. Everyone would love it… even doctors, nurses and Chicago botox cosmetic surgeons. Well, I know some surgeons who love cookies.
Try this Watermelon, Feta and Mint Salad. Good as appetizer.
Ingredients:
Watermelon
Feta and Mint
Finishing salt if desired
Procedure:
This is easy. Cut a large rectangular chunk of watermelon. With a melon baller or rounded measuring spoon, scoop out a round hole from the melon. Fill with crumbled feta and mint, garnish with a bit of finishing salt and mint sprig, and serve on a chilled salad plate. Then serve.
